- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 Cups heavy whipping cream
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- Half teaspoon of minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
- 1 Cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Melt the butter In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the butter heavy whipping cream along with cream cheese. In a medium-high heat, cook the mixture stirring until the mixture melts and is smooth.
- Incorporate Flavor Mix in minced garlic and garlic powder Italian spice, salt and pepper. Continue whisking until the ingredients are well incorporated so that the mixture is silky smooth.
- Add Cheese Gradually add your chopped Parmesan cheese and stir it continuously until the cheese is completely melted and the sauce becomes slightly thicker.
- Simmer The sauce should be brought to a low simmer and simmer for about 3 to 5 minutes for flavors to blend with the sauce and thicken up to the desired consistency.
- Serve Mix the Alfredo sauce made from scratch with the pasta you prefer like fettuccine and serve right away.
Notes
- To get the most texture, you should use fresh grated Parmesan cheese in place of powdered.
- Remaining food items can be stored in an airtight container and keep them in fridge for up to five days.
