Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the Oven The first step is preheating your oven to 180°C (350degF). While the oven is warming up spray a 23 x 33cm (9 13 inches) baking dish in cooking oil in order to avoid sticking.
  2. Make the Sauce In a large pot on medium temperature, melt the unsalted butter. After the butter has melted, add the flour until you have an easy paste. This is referred to as the roux. It helps to make the casserole more spongy.
  3. Add Cheese and Milk Add slowly milk into the roux, and continue stirring to prevent lumps. When the mixture is smooth and smooth, add the cubed pasteurized cheese. Make sure to stir until the cheese is fully melted, and then remove the pan from the heat.
  4. Mix Ingredients In a large mixing bowl mix the green beans that have been defrosted cubed potatoes, cubed green beans, along with cubedAmish Ham. Add the sauce of cheese over the mix and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  5. Add seasoning to the mix Add Salt, onion powder along with black pepper. Combine thoroughly, ensuring consistent spice throughout.
  6. Bake the Casserole Mix all the ingredients into the baking dish that you prepared. Distribute it evenly before placing it into the oven that is preheated. Bake for approximately 50 minutes to ensure that the surface is evenly golden.
  7. Serve and enjoy When the casserole is baked it is time to let the casserole rest for a couple of minutes prior to serving. This will allow it to become slightly set, making easy to break into smaller portions.
