Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 medium onion cut into pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1. Small green pepper chopped
  • 1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (16-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons dry oregano
  • 2 teaspoons of dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the Meat Within a huge pot on medium-high heat, mix meat, diced onion minced garlic, chopped green bell pepper. In the pan, cook till meat has cooked and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Remove any grease that is not needed.
  2. Add tomatoes and seasonings: Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce along with tomato paste. Add dried oregano, dry basil, salt along with black pepper. Mix well to incorporate all the ingredients.
  3. Slowly simmer the sauce: Reduce the heat to low and allow the sauce to simmer for around an hour, while stirring frequently. This will allow the flavors to blend wonderfully.
  4. Serve When the dish has become thicker and fragrant Serve it with your favorite pasta that you cooked and then Enjoy!

Notes

  • The sauce can be simmered longer if you want more of a thicker consistency.
  • Sauce leftovers can be stored at room temperature for a period of 3-4 days, or it can be frozen up to 6 months.
