Ingredients

- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 medium onion cut into pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1. Small green pepper chopped
- 1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (16-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons dry oregano
- 2 teaspoons of dried basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
Instructions
- Brown the Meat Within a huge pot on medium-high heat, mix meat, diced onion minced garlic, chopped green bell pepper. In the pan, cook till meat has cooked and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Remove any grease that is not needed.
- Add tomatoes and seasonings: Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce along with tomato paste. Add dried oregano, dry basil, salt along with black pepper. Mix well to incorporate all the ingredients.
- Slowly simmer the sauce: Reduce the heat to low and allow the sauce to simmer for around an hour, while stirring frequently. This will allow the flavors to blend wonderfully.
- Serve When the dish has become thicker and fragrant Serve it with your favorite pasta that you cooked and then Enjoy!
Notes
- The sauce can be simmered longer if you want more of a thicker consistency.
- Sauce leftovers can be stored at room temperature for a period of 3-4 days, or it can be frozen up to 6 months.
