Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract, then gradually mix in the flour until well combined.
  • Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips.
  • Press the mixture into an ungreased jellyroll pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  • While hot, cut into bars and let cool in the pan.

Notes

For the best texture, cut the bars right out of the oven.
